Why Cranemaster™ ?
Cranemaster™ is a proven and extremely cost-effective system to
reduce the dynamic loads, significantly increase the offshore lifting
capacity and increase the operating life of offshore cranes.
Working Principles
Cranemaster™ consists of a passive compensator and a double acting
hydraulic shock absorber as one self-contained unit. No need for external
power supply.
Arrangement
Cranemaster™ can be supplied for the following scenarios:
•For
permanent mounting on the crane boom. • For
whip line with all accessories (swivel/hook and wire connection) •For
main hoist with all accessories (shackles, sling and hook)
Load Range
The Cranemaster™ can be custom-made to fit your needs. Typical
range is from 2-100+ tons. If necessary, several Cranemaster™
may be used in parallel.
Approval
Lloyds Register, DNV and ABS have approved the rating procedure for
offshore cranes fitted with Cranemaster™ units.
Increased Offshore Lifting
Capacity
Cranemaster™ gives a significant increase (up to 2-3 times) of
the offshore lifting capacity within the original crane design specification.
CRANEMASTER™ FOR SUBSEA LIFTS
The subsea Cranemaster™ is
specifically designed for subsea installation / removal projects. These
units are available for lease or sale.
Arrangement
The typical subsea Cranemaster™ is connected right above the subsea
load with a sling in between. Shackles in both ends are included.
Load Range
The subsea Cranemaster’s lifting capacity typically range from
2-100+ tons. If necessary, several subsea Cranemaster’s may be
used in parallel.
Typical Subsea Use
Limited impact through splash zone
When submerging loads with low weight in water (i.e. GRP covers) into
the splash zone, Cranemaster™ will instantly counteract slack
in the hoist wire and also absorb sudden impacts caused by the downward
movement of the load. This will decrease the impact on the load to a
safe value (even with an added water masses of up to 100 tons).
Safe landing on the seabed
Subsea Cranemaster™ is ideal for landing and repositioning of
loads (i.e. suction anchors) on the seabed. If, for example, the suction
anchor fastens to the seabed before the hook is released, Cranemaster™
will act as a spring and limit the tension in the hoist wire.
