AME assists BHP with Riser Repair Work

AME has successfully completed a project assisting BHPB Petroleum with repairs to a Gas Injection Riser in the Stybarrow field without interrupting production operations.
The project included:  Engineering and Fabricated equipment for the lifting and static hang-off of the Riser, Cold cutting of the riser guide tube, inside the FPSO turret to allow access to the damaged section of the riser sheath, design and supply of a temporary sealing clamp for the riser guide tube, procedure development and offshore execution.

The project was taken from concept to completion in 5 weeks, including 11 days executing the scope offshore.  Vertech, Technip & Furmanite also contributed to this success.
